Flat Track Fever 2016 Team Application!
What you’ve been waiting for, the team application for Flat Track Fever 2016 is now open! The tournament for 2016 is being trimmed down to 8 women’s teams and 1 feature men’s game on Saturday night.
If you are a women’s team who wants to take part in this amazing tournament, please get your entry in soon! The contract is available to review online with the application.
Application deadline is midnight on December 15, 2015.
Teams will be announced January 15, 2016.
So it begins!
Host Hotel Announced
We have secured a block of rooms at the Delta Calgary South. It’s a 5 minute drive to the venue and a 15-20 minute walk. So close! The room rate is $119/night for Thursday May 28 through to Sunday May 31 (these rooms are $149 typically). Rooms include: two queens with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and free wifi. The hotel is also offering 50% off breakfast in their restaurant to all FTF participants. Deal! Please call the Delta Reservations Department at 403-225-5800 or Global Reservations Office at 1- 800-268-1133 to book. For ease of booking callers must identify themselves as being with Chinook City Roller Derby/FTF. Alternately, email bookings can be done through reservations@deltacalgarysouth.com.

Time to reveal the teams attending Flat Track Fever 2015!
For the women’s event we have accepted 10 of 13 applicants. The Flat Track Fever 2015 the women’s tournament contestants are:
- Anarchy Angels – Mainland Misfits, Cloverdale, BC
- Avalanche City All Stars – Avalanche City Roller Derby, Fernie, BC
- E-Ville Dead (Defending Champions) – E-Ville Roller Derby, Edmonton, AB
- Oil City Roller Derby – Oil City Derby Girls, Edmonton, AB
- TOAST – Thompson Okanagan All Star Team, Armstrong, BC
- Deadlies – Tournament City Derby Dolls, Kamloops, BC
- Gang Green – Wheat City Roller Derby League, Brandon, MB
- Bonnie Situation – Chinook City Roller Derby League, Calgary, AB
- NORDStarz – North-Eastern Ontario Roller Derby, Timmins, Sault Ste Marie, Kirkland Lake, Cochrane and Sudbury, ON
- Angels of Assault – Border City Roller Derby League, Lloydminster, AB
For the men’s event we accepted only MRDA teams who applied. Although there will only be 3 games, all 3 games will be sanctioned under the MRDA’s sanction policy. The teams attending are:

- Glenmore Reservoir Dogs (MRDA) – Chinook City Roller Derby League, Calgary, A
