    We officially have our head officials for FTF 2015! Book’er Bennett will be Tournament Head Referee and Sweet Plea will be Tournament Head NSO.

    Book’er is from Courtenay, BC and is a Level 2 WFTDA official, a recognized MRDA official and is Head Referee for the Salish Sea Rollers. Sweet Plea is our very own CCRD Head NSO and back for year four!

    WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR OFFICIALS! Check the form below and get your application in early. Final deadline is March 15, 2015. This year’s tournament runs from May 29-31, 2015.

    Flat Track Fever 2015 Team Application Online!

    Mark your calendars, Flat Track Fever 2015 will be held on May 29 to 31, at the Acadia Recreation Complex, 240 90th St SE in Calgary Alberta!

    We are looking for 8 men’s and 8 women’s teams from Canada, the USA and overseas to attend and make this a truly international event!  If your team is interested, please fill in this form.  We will be determining the teams that will attend by December 6th and it will be announced no later than January 2, 2015.

    We really want you to attend, so let us know as soon as you can!

    Chinook City Roller Derby announces dates for the FOURTH ANNUAL FLAT TRACK FEVER ROLLER DERBY TOURNAMENT, May 29-May 31, 2015

    CALGARY, August 21 – Chinook City Roller Derby is excited to announce the dates for the fourth annual Flat Track Fever roller derby tournament, once again bringing women’s, men’s and co-ed derby action to Calgary fans. This year’s event will take place at the newly refurbished Acadia Recreation Complex, and will feature women’s and men’s teams from throughout Canada, the United States, and abroad.

    Flat Track Fever has grown to be the single largest roller derby tournament in Canada, and has become a must-attend event for roller derby teams and fans from Calgary and beyond. Details regarding tickets, attending teams, media accreditation and tournament schedule will be announced in the coming months. Updates will be posted to the Flat Track Fever website at flattrackfever.com and social media at Facebook and Twitter.

    Chinook City Roller Derby (CCRD) is a Calgary non-profit association dedicated to learning, playing, and promoting co-ed roller derby in a skater owned and operated team atmosphere. Roller Derby is a sport based on the principles of community, sportsmanship, and competition driven by volunteerism; all aspects of league formation and operation are organized by team members for team members on a purely volunteer basis. Since its formation in early 2011, CCRD has grown to approximately 100 members.

    Final Results for Flat Track Fever 2014!

    Chinook City Roller Derby League’s own Glenmore Reservoir Dogs and Kill Jills both made the medals in tournament play over the weekend.

    For the men’s bracket:

    1st place Vancouver Murder
    2nd place CCRD Glenmore Reservoir Dogs
    3rd place Puget Sound Castaways

    The women’s bracket:

    1st place Edmonton’s E-Ville Dead
    2nd place St. Albert Heavenly Rollers
    3rd place CCRD Kill Jills

    Thank you to all the officials, volunteers, spectators and teams who helped to make the 2014 Flat Track Fever Roller Derby Tournament an epic successs.  Watch this space for an update on 2015 and see you all next May!
